BNP don't make hoodies but if they did, they'd probably be white, baggy and have a point on the hood

I think that Britain is great.  I think that it can, and should be better.  Working together, we can make it so.  Listening to extremists leads to fear and hatred, which is what this nation does not need.  And due to this view I would make this post about the far right today to highlight the links between the far right and terrorism, and of course, the links between supporters of the far right and other crimes.

I do not think that parties like the BNP should be banned, but I do think it is important that people know that the BNP are like, as well as the links between the far right and terrorism.  Of course, because of the tragic events in Norway, this is a big issue at present, but it has been a big issue for a while.  It is just that it is in the public eye again.

So, let me post about terrorists who have been associated with the far right in the UK.  Some of this has been taken from the Hope not Hate website, but I have expanded on the information that they have provided as the information they have is out of date.  In addition to which, I think that it is important to highlight the links of the far right to other crimes.  I am aware though that not all these criminals are linked to the BNP.  I am also aware that there are bad eggs in other political parties in the UK, each political party having ex-members who have convictions for violence and child abuse (or related crimes).  Other than Sinn Féin I do not really see any other political party in the UK having as many terrorists as the BNP.  Basically, I think it is important to publicise this, especially as the Far Right love to mention it when ethnic minorities, especially Muslims, are involved in crime.

I hate jokes about animals They are so irrelephant

Evening all.  I have got this week off work and today we went to the Zoo.  Twice.  Once, when my daughter was at school, and because we have some passes to Colchester Zoo, we went again once we had picked her up.  They both loved it, not just because of a new play area, but also because they got to see loads of animals.   Almost all of which they have seen before, but then, the joy is in watching them as well.  And as they grow, they get different things out of the Zoo, especially as at the moment they love to watch Roar in the mornings.

I am knackered now, but in a good way.  And it was great to spend time with both of them.
If I had a pound for every time David Cameron said he was going to sort the countries problems out, I'd be rich enough to live under a Tory government

CALENDAR FACT: All the seasons are named after coils of metal.
Except Winter and Summer.
And Autumn.

I came home from the pub four hours late last night.
"Where have you been?" screamed my wife.
I said, "I've been playing poker with some blokes."
"Playing poker with some blokes?" she repeated. "Well, you can pack your bags and go!"
"So can you" I said, "This isn't our house anymore."

Only in Norwich would you get Cadbury's Fingers in 12 packs

What's got 10 fingers and comes from Norwich?
A box of Bird's Eye
Right, I have watched the match now. And things were bad. Really bad.  The first goal from Norwich was down to poor defending, the same with the second, which although a deflection, had three Norwich players against two Arsenal defenders and the last one, again was terrible defending.  Not a way to finish the last home match of the season!  At least the Scum only drew and Newcastle lost.  It comes down to the last game of the season, and unless we win our last game, we are not likely to finish in third place.  If we lose, we could even end up in sixth place!

Didn't even know the Dutch were at war with France, now Hollande is in charge, typical surrender monkeys.

Evening all.

It has been a good day today.  My wife has had a much deserved day away from the kids and that left me in charge.

Muhahahaha!

Seriously though, we watched the end of Attack of the Clones, ate, played, had fun, walked into town to watch Beauty and the Beast (in 3D).  Came back,  this being a nice walk finding new ways home, played, had fun.  They did some dancing, in fact a bit of dancing which both love to do.  Days like this are precious as I do not get to spend as much time with them as I would love to spend, and they grow up so quickly.  They do love watching Star Wars, which is just as well, as I do as well.  And they loved Beauty and the Beast.  They have watched it before on DVD, and Belle is one of the more acceptable Disney rolemodels as she is smart.  As a story, I think that it is a good one, the film appealing to both adults and kids.  The music can be irritating at times, but as noted, this is a film for children which is suitable for adults.  The change from 2D to 3D was great and well worth watching in the big screen.  Not sure that I would have liked to have spent as much money as I did, but my daughter is learning how to dance on Wednesday's which means that we can no longer take advantage of Orange Wednesday's for now.
Anyway, quick post about other things as well.  Politics have been interesting. The Con-Dems have been hammered in most the pollsRed Ken did not win in London which is a shame.  Otherwise it was a good day for Labour.  My mother thinks that I am a Liberal Democrat, because I have voted for them where I live.  But, I would rather vote Labour.  It is just that in the council ward in which I live, there is no point.  Either I have a Tory in charge, or I have a Liberal Democrat councillor.  And the same applies with the parliamentary seat.  As much as I would rather vote Labour, I would rather not let the Conservatives gain anything.  Saying that, I do not agree with everything that Labour are in favour of.  It is just that my view with politics is to vote for the party with which you disagree with the least.  And I have much more in common with Labour than I have with the other parties.  Come the next election, I might risk the Conservatives taking this seat and vote with my heart and not with my head.  It depends on how the local MP does when it comes to issues that are faced.

Arsenal also are luckyThe Scum failed to win, and Newcastle also lost which meant that we are still in third place.  Through luck.  I am gutted that Liverpool lost yesterday as I do not want Chelski to win anything.  And guess what, a controversial decision yet again gave them the game, though this time it appears to have been a correct oneCome the European cup final, I will be doing the unthinkable and will be supporting the Germans.  My perfect finish to the season would be with Arsenal on top, but that is not going to happen.  So, I am hoping for a third place finish, with Newcastle next, the Scum afterwards and Chelski in fifth and coming up runners up in the European Cup.  But with the 'luck' that Chelski have had, I doubt that will take place.  There is even a chance that we can finish in sixth place the way the table is right now!

The link above is with relation to the recent video about a child who had an encounter with a lion at the zoo. Or rather would have if not for the glass. But, I think that the one above is far better.

Liverpool Fans Claiming They Have Been Robbed
Oh the irony....

How many Tories does it take to change a lightbulb?
100 - 1 to evaluate the bulb, 99 to host a dinner to decide how to convince the public that the blown bulb is Labour's fault and they'll have to accept the old bulb in the current economic climate.

I remember the time when it used to be called The London Snickers.

Politics. Which is part of the reason why one tyrannical ruler does not have sanctions against the nation that he oppresses, and one is being castigated bythe international community. Of course, this is nothing to do with the political support that Iran has been accused of giving those calling for democracy in Bahrain, or the military base that is there.
What is happening in Syria is worse than what is happening in Bahrain, but the people in both nations deserve to live in a just democracy.  Saying that, so do the people in Iran, but I do not see any change there happening for a while.
It is good that nations are calling for reforms in Bahrain, but I do think that it is sad that more action is not being taken against the rulers.
Anyway, the race must go on.  While people die
There's blatant cheating going on in the London Marathon.
The bloke in 6th place is on a motorbike!

No I am not doing the London Marathon. I just like dressing up as Orville.

The white kit, the over-expectant fans and the total collapse in a huge game. Harry Redknapp must think he's England manager already.

Evening all.  Hope you are all well.  The kids have had a good week.  My daughter did not return to school until Tuesday, and with my son at nursery, she got to spend time shopping with my wife.  She was taken to a Japanese restaurant and she loved soup.  My wife does not like soup, my son does not like soup, but I do.  So my daugher said to my wife "I think I have to accept that I am a bit like Daddy."  Bless!  On Wednesday we went to watch Mirror Mirror.  We all liked it and in one part of the film, there was a special kiss.  My son stated that when he was older, that he was going to kiss Celeste and Lilia.  I am not sure how they would feel about this though!  I have had a busy week, and have not been able to spend as much time with the kids as I would like to.  But the time I have spent with them has been great.

Mirror Mirror was a good film.  Not as good as I thought it was going to be, but then that is trailers for you.  It is a film mostly for kids, but it is one that adults can enjoy as well.  The characters were enjoyable, the dialogue witty and although the plot was predicatable in parts, it was one that my kids loved.  It was a bit scary for my son, but I kept asking him who wins, goodies or badies and that seemed to settle him.

Anyway, what post of mine would be one without the obligatory moan about Arsenal.  Just when it looked like we could make it to finish third, we decide to make the season more exciting.  So we lost to Wigan.  To be fair to them, they have beaten ManUre and they would have beaten Chelski other than a few decisions that went in favour of them.  It is strange that they have been getting so many decisions...

Why is it that people who wear camouflage trousers stand out so much?

I don't know why I even bother having a smartphone anymore.
It spends so much time on charge, you might as well call it a landline.

"Can you do an impression of a Parrot?" I replied.

I went mental when I caught the wife pulling a Face behind my back. I won't be taking her to next years 'A-Team convention

Afternoon all.

It is the last day of the holidays.  Both for me and the kids.  Over this time, as noted, the kids have been taken to Legoland as well as on a trip to London.  My Mum came up on the weekend to babysit so that I could take my wife out to a meal at the Noodle Bar followed by a trip to the Arts Centre.  That was great for me, my wife not liking the comedy show as much, well it was based on maths!

First of all, the Noodle Bar.  Great food.  Great service.  We used to eat there a few years ago, but have not been out as much as we would like to be.  The place has changed, when we were last there, there was no upstairs and neither of us can remember a desert menu.  The food back then was good, and if anything, I felt it has got better.  Certainly worth the price and the way that they dealt with people was great.  They were up front and honest about needing our table back at 2000, allowed us to eat and were really accomdating.  This is somewhere I would recommend to others, especially as it was great value for money

Your Days Are Numbered was something, as noted earlier, that my wife did not like as much as I did.  And to be honest, I can see why.  I know a bit more about maths than she does and this is not something that I would recommend for those who do not know about maths.  It was a great way of teaching people about risks of dying and this would be great for those learning about medical statistics as well as maths.

Anyway, right know the kids have come down from their Grandmother induced high and are playing with the toys that my mother bought for them.

Time to go, and I hope you like these links from The Voice, which both the kids are getting into.

To all the lady pirates out there - remember, you're amazing just the way you ARRRRR.

"What do you want for your birthday?" I asked my wife.
She replied, "Anything with gold in it!"
I can't wait to see her face when she opens her new marigolds.
