Evening all. I am watching the match, as noted in the last two posts. So let me get on with this quickly. Since I last posted my son has been as cheeky and as charming as ever, and by daughter keeps on asking about new things as she soaks up as much as she can at school and at home.
Today was paperwork day. My job here is much harder than where I worked before. More paperwork, as well as more clinical work. But, I am happier here. Which does not mean that I did not like my old job. It was just that the team which I worked with as one that I felt was not working well together. I hope they are working better now that I have left. And of course, the other plus side about not being there was that it was just outside Ipswich, which meant that I would have got a lot more stick for the result when Ipswich beat Arsenal in the first leg of the league cup semi-final.
But back to non-football things. Today, woke up early. Went to work. My wife, who is ill with flu like symptoms, got the kids ready and I came back from the mountain of paperwork that I have to take my daughter to school, and my son to pre-school. It was great taking them. We walked in, and then after my daughter went in, I got to take my son to pre-school. Went to work, came back for lunch, picked my son up first of course. Then back to work. And then back home, to collect my daughter. I am lucky to be able to spend this much time with the kids. I know that there are many who do not get to spend time with them, and while all kids are going to be naughty from time to time, my two kids are really well behaved. And of course, charming. My son, on the way from my daughters school to his pre-school held the hand of one of the other mothers who live down the road, deciding that she was female, and therefore was there to be charmed. At times, I think that he has had to step up in cuteness as his sister is so amazing. And with the two of them getting on so well together, being with both of them is amazing. Mind you, being with just one of them is brilliant as well! He has started to change the say he talks to me wife as he has realised that there are ways of saying things that make my wife more likely to say yes.
It is nice to hear my wife say that, as I know that she says things in a certain way to get me to do things. I know this as once she admitted to doing so. When or how she does it, I have no idea. But it is nice to have it being used on her my my son, who has her eyes.
I might have a rant on politics later. After all, there has been loads to comment on. But I think that I will leave that for another time.
I have to go. Half time. Leeds have pulled a goal back just before half time. Fingers crossed that the Arsenal will win. Hope the rest of the post below brings a smile to your face. And that you like the video below.

Well, let me try that again...
A draw at home to Leeds (and I thought we played well in that game) and a loss away to Ipswich.
At least we are still in with a chance for now.
While 'the' match is on tonight, I will try to post about the kids.

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?
Hello all. Again. As promised, a second post for today, but this one is going to have to be a rant on football. As some of you know, I am an Arsenal fan, and this week, we drew against Man 5hi++Y. Alex Ferguson, must have been splitting his sides laughing as not only did Arsenal fail to pick up three points, but The Scum and Chelski both lost as well. Well, it is good to know that at least one Arsenal player thinks that ManUre can be caught, but I suspect that the title is already in the hands of ManUre. Now it is second place to play for, unless you are Chelski who are trying to finish in the qualification places for the European Cup. Anyway, if you want to watch the highlights, there are on this link, at least for a short period of time.
For those who like music, try this.
And for those who want a laugh...
A young blonde Portsmouth girl, down on her luck, decided to end it all one night by casting herself into the cold, dark waters off Gun Wharf Quay. As she stood on the edge, pondering the infinite, a young sailor noticed her as he strolled by.
'You're not thinking of jumping, are you, babe?' he asked.
'Yes, I am' replied the sobbing girl.
Putting his arm around her, the kind sailor coaxed her back from the edge.
'Look, nothing's worth that. I'll tell you what, I'm sailing off for Australia tomorrow. Why don't you stow away on board and start a new life over there. I'll set you up in one of the lifeboats on the deck, bring you food and water every night and I'll look after you if you look after me - if you know what I mean. You just have to keep very quiet so that you won't be found'.
The girl, having no better prospects, agreed, and the sailor sneaked her on board that very night. For the next 3 weeks the sailor came to her lifeboat every night, bringing food and water, and making love to her until dawn.
Then, during the fourth week, the captain was performing a routine inspection of the ship and its lifeboats. He peeled back the cover to find the startled blonde, and demanded an explanation.
The girl came clean, 'I've stowed away to get to Australia. One of the sailors is helping me out. He set me up in here and brings me food and water every night and he's screwing me.'
The captain stared at her for a moment before he replied ....
.... 'He certainly is, love. This is the Isle of Wight Ferry.'

The BNP, cyberactivism and the Royal Family
Well, I thought I would post something here just about politics. A post about the BNP. They are active on Yahoo! Answers, just as they are active elsewhere on the internet spreading lies and half truths.
Now for the record, I think that Britain is great. I think that it can, and should be better. Working together, we can make it so. Listening to extremists leads to fear and hatred, which is what this nation does not need.

Anyway, as the video above shows, racists can be a laugh. But also, there are many many times that they are not. All too many have been involved in violence, and this applies not just to supporters of the BNP, or those linked to them, but founding members as well. And remember that the BNP have been linked to terrorism which has killed many innocents. They are not to be underestimated. Thanks to the lies that they have spread, they have gained in votes, and while they fared badly in the last election, the number of people voting for them in a general election increased from 192,746 to 564,331 votes, something that shows that the lies and smears that they spread have worked. I suspect that with the planned electoral reform, they will gain more votes, as seen in the European Elections in 2009 when they gained 943,598 votes.
There are many people who compare them to the Nazi's, and some comparisons on this are right, others of course are wrong as they do not advocate a final solution, though they do state that those they consider immigrants should be encouraged to leave the country.
Which leads on to my next rant on them. The BNP state that those who are not 100% British should be encouraged to leave. An example of such a person is Cashley Cole. Now being an Arsenal fan, I am biased against him. But the BNP consider him to be not British in an ethnic sense and therefore is one of those who should be encouraged to leave. He has a white mother, which the BNP would consider English, and a Black father. The thing is, Prince Charles should come under the same view. He has a father who is considered Greek, or Danish, let alone the issue with his mother. But of course, this is nothing to do with racism, as the BNP state that they are not a racist political party.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Morning all. A quick post about the Arsenal game against Birmingham. Yes we were lucky to get away with a handball in the penalty area, but then we have had such decisions go against us an example being against Wigan, which would mean that we would have won the game and been level on points with ManUre. But then Bowyer was lucky to get away with assaulting Song in the game, well in the game he was. What happens afterwards will be interesting, and hopefully, he will be punished. Anyway, I have Wednesday to look forwards to and the game against Man $hi+y. And if you want a laugh, I hope you enjoy this...
There is a new study just released by the American Psychiatric Association about women and how they feel about their arses. The results are pretty interesting:
10% of women surveyed feel their arse is too big.
5% of women surveyed feel their arse is too small.
The remaining 85% say they don't care; they love him; he's a good man; they would have married him anyway.

But I put it to you your honour, that once adorned with tinsel and baubles it was no longer a cannabis plant but a Christmas tree!
Evening all. I have a moment at work to post a quick update on the kids. As my mother knows, I have started to use my mobile to allow her to make video calls to them before they go to bed. Having an iPhone 4, it can make such calls, which is great. They have loved seeing her on the telephone and of course, she has loved being able to see them most nights. Of course, now she is going abroad, it will be even better. I have to thank David, who had come to stay in December, who told me that I could do this. However (like the Guardian did), he said I could use Skype, which I could not at the time. So instead, I used Yahoo! Messenger. My brother set up an account for my Mum and since then, she has been able to see the kids. Of course, now she is going to be many many miles away, thanks to the time difference, she will only get a chance to see them on the weekend mornings that I am not going to be working! But seeing them on weekends when abroad will be better than not at all.
Spent last night with my wife, had a great time watching Jools Holland with her, and in the morning, the kids were understanding and allowed us to sleep, while they watched television in bed with us. Thank god for Cbeebies!
Anyway, back to work, and when I get home, I may even get to watch the highlights from the Arsenal match! Not that I expect them to win. Still, must not complain. We are still in the European Cup, at least till we play Barcelona.
And I hope you like this song. If not, there is something else that can make you laugh and I hope someone likes that.
Blondes on Marriage
A married couple were asleep when the phone rang at 2 in the morning, the wife (undoubtedly blonde), picked up the phone, listened a moment and said, "How should I know, that's 200 miles from here!" and hung up. The husband said, "Who was that?" The wife said, "I don't know, some young woman wanting to know 'if the coast is clear."
